Lopez BrothersTECH SUPPORT

Service Terms

Effective September 10, 2026

These terms describe the general conditions for services provided by Lopez Brothers Tech Support. The approved estimate or written service agreement may include additional details for a specific appointment.

Appointments and access

We provide mobile onsite technology support by appointment throughout San Diego County. The customer is responsible for providing accurate information, safe and reasonable access to the service location and equipment, and an adult authorized to approve work. We may decline or stop work when conditions are unsafe, unlawful, outside our stated scope, or materially different from the original request.

Estimates and authorization

Displayed website prices are introductory starting prices. Travel, parts, taxes, extended time, unexpected conditions, and work outside a listed scope may cost extra. We will explain the expected scope and charges and obtain customer approval before paid work or additional work proceeds. An estimate is not a guarantee that every issue can be diagnosed or resolved.

Onsite minimum and additional time

The standard onsite service has a $50 minimum covering up to the first hour. The minimum applies whether the issue is resolved early or cannot be resolved during that hour. Additional time is $25 per 30 minutes and begins only after customer approval. A separately listed service price may apply instead of being added automatically to the $50 service-call labor. Travel and parts are separate.

Travel

Travel charges are based on distance from the closer applicable starting area and are confirmed before the appointment. A new charge may be quoted if the service address changes or the information provided was inaccurate.

Parts, software, and compatibility

Unless specifically included in writing, listed upgrade prices cover labor only. Customers may provide compatible parts, or authorize us in writing to research or purchase parts. The customer is responsible for licenses, subscriptions, credentials, and proof of ownership for software and accounts. Manufacturer limitations, unsupported equipment, unavailable drivers, licensing restrictions, and third-party outages may limit the work we can complete.

Backups and data risk

The customer should maintain a current backup before service whenever possible. Troubleshooting, repair, upgrades, transfers, malware removal, drive work, and operating-system installation can involve the risk of data loss, corruption, changed settings, or software incompatibility. We take reasonable care but cannot guarantee against data loss. We will request specific authorization before work expected to erase, reinstall, or materially alter stored data.

Passwords, accounts, and ownership

The customer must have lawful authority to access the devices, accounts, software, and data involved. Do not send passwords through the website form. When access is needed, the customer should enter credentials directly whenever practical. We will not assist with bypassing security, licensing, account ownership, or access controls without appropriate authorization.

Cancellation and missed appointments

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling. There is no automatic cancellation fee. Repeated late cancellations, missed appointments, unsafe conditions, or inability to access the equipment may affect future scheduling.

Seven-day workmanship follow-up

Contact us within seven calendar days after service if the same issue appears to result directly from work we performed. We will review the concern and, when appropriate, make a reasonable effort to correct our workmanship. This follow-up does not cover unrelated failures, new problems, customer or third-party changes, malware reinfection, failing or incompatible hardware, defective parts, unsupported software, external service outages, or conditions outside the approved work.

Service limitations

We do not advertise advanced data recovery, motherboard or board-level repair, phone or tablet screen repair, business server administration, advanced firewall or cybersecurity management, permanent in-wall cabling, guaranteed virus or ransomware recovery, or healthcare IT work involving protected health information. We may recommend another provider when a request is outside our capabilities.

Payment

We accept debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, and cash. Payment is due as stated in the approved estimate, invoice, or written agreement. The customer is responsible for approved labor, travel, parts, taxes, and other authorized charges. Card and Apple Pay transactions are processed through the payment provider selected by Lopez Brothers Tech Support.
